Born in Amsterdam, Yuro has called Castlegar his home since 1998, drawn to the region by its majestic mountains, serene lakes, and exceptional skiing. Alongside his wife Meagan and their three children – Heiko, Petra, and Ingrid – Yuro immerses himself in the abundance of experiences the Kootenays offer. Graduating from the University of Alberta in 1998, he uncovered his true calling in creating radiant smiles, recognizing that a transformed smile not only enhances one's appearance but can also alleviate years of pain, including headaches. Witnessing the profound impact of smile transformations, Dr. Ihns pursued advanced education through the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, where he is now a distinguished graduate, and remains dedicated to enriching the lives of his patients through continuous learning.

    Meet Maggie, our dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist. Born and raised in Nelson, BC, Maggie has built her career in dentistry from the ground up. After more than 15 years as a Certified Dental Assistant, she returned to school at the Canadian National Institute of Health in Ottawa to pursue her passion for dental hygiene. Her gentle, detail-oriented approach and genuine care for patients make every visit a positive and comfortable experience.

    Outside the clinic, Maggie loves spending time at her family cabin in Balfour, enjoying the lake and the beauty of the Kootenays with family and friends. A proud rescue pet mom, she shares her home with Posey, Timber, and her two cats, Ace and Austin.
