Zoom! is the newest teeth whitening technology at Kootenay Smile Studio. This system allows clients to see a dramatic difference in no time at all. The Zoom! Chairside Whitening System is safe, effective, fast and simple. The shade of your teeth will be evaluated and your smile will be examined to determine whether you are an ideal candidate for this procedure. For best results, a professional cleaning is recommended before any whitening treatment is started.
At the whitening appointment, the Zoom! whitening gel is applied to your teeth and the Zoom! light activates the bleaching compound. The gel and light work together to gently penetrate the teeth in an efficient manner.
The gel can be applied and activated for up to four 15-minute sessions. After the gel is removed and the teeth washed, a Zoom-designed desensitizing treatment is performed to minimize any sensitivity.
Finally, another shade evaluation of the teeth is done. In many cases, you are given take-home bleaching trays to help you maintain your new, beautiful, instant white smile. And yes, we will give you some advice on keeping those pearly whites, white even if you continue to drink coffee, tea and cola!
At-Home Whitening an option too …
If you would prefer an option that allows you to brighten your smile in the comfort of your own home, we can offer you at-home whitening.
This technique involves creating custom-fitted take home trays, that you fill with a small amount of bleaching gel (only available through us). You fill the trays and wear them each day; the length of time you wear them depends on your unique situation. The trays could be worn for a few hours or overnight while you sleep.
This process is more of a gradual one but you will see results anywhere from one to two weeks!
